We’re here to help you thrive

In March 2024, the Indigenous Communication and Fine Arts (INCA & IFA) department announced a major expansion. In addition to the one-year INCA Certificate and two-year INCA Diploma, the department added a four-year Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Journalism and Communication Arts and a Bachelor of Arts (After Degree).

In May-June 2025, we will offer our first combined INCA Summer Institute, with two levels: INCA 200 and INCA 400.

Students in INCA 200 and INCA 400 will participate together in many activities; however, the INCA 400 students will have responsibilities to teach and mentor INCA 200 students—the “Knowledge Tranfser” component of the vision and requirements for completing INCA 400.

In Spring/Summer 2025, we are looking ahead to a major milestone for the First Nations University of Canada—the 50th Anniversary of SIFC/FNUniv as an Indian/Indigenous-controlled post-secondary institution.
