Jordan Sargeant

My name is Jordan Sargeant and I am from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

As long as I can remember I’ve always found joy in creative writing. The more I wrote, the more my love for the craft grew. Eventually, I discovered that real-world facts could make fictional stories richer, so in turn, I grew a love for research. With that said, it's no wonder that I went into journalism. Especially since I was always told that if I picked a job I loved I would never work a day in my life.

Thanks to the radio crash course, I am able to get a taste of what being a real journalist might be like, and it brings me joy to say that I love it. If it weren't for the encouragement of my classmates and teachers I wouldn't have known that this course existed or that I could apply to be a part of it, so I am really appreciative to them! The crash course being completely free is such a gift and an asset for my future. In short, I am very grateful that I am able to participate in such a wonderful experience.
